Until 2003 Antwerpen is a divided city. The "clients of the city" do not have a sense of belonging to the city where they live or work. They do not feel responsible or proud enough. Despite all its initiatives and efforts to improve these feelings, the city is not perceived as being communicative with its "clients". Using over 100 different logos and no consistent corporate guidelines, does not help.
A new logo, tagline and guidelines are the starting point to create a new sense of involvement with the city. The logo and tagline inspire various groups in the city to co-create in the new way of thinking and living in the city.
