Choice for domains of excellence is based on the Master in Imagineering Roadmap which covers the subjects organisations tackle when transforming from 'old enterprise logic' to 'new enterprise logic'. Current and future items of research are:

Phase 1:

The characteristics of new enterprise logic - Nijs / De Jager
As we rush from the machine age into the information age, enterprise logic has to be transformed. In the knowledge-based creative economy, companies will compete on innovation instead of price. This research focuses on the requirements of management in the innovation economy.

Methods and techniques to uncover identity - Nijs / Van Gool
This literature review aims to present different methods and techniques to uncover identity. It clarifies concepts as corporate identity and values and ways to measure both. One thing is clear; uncovering identity starts internally and there are many techniques to understand the actual identity.

Appreciative Inquiry in the context of Imagineering - Nijs /Van Gool
In this article we explore the pro's and con's of using Appreciative Inquiry in the context of Imagineering.

Values research and other qualitative techniques for 'soul-reading' - Van Gool
In this article, different methods and techniques that will give a deeper insight into the experiential world of consumers will be presented. The focus will be on new qualitative research methods, that will uncover the values and experiences of consumers and the meaning they give to their behaviour.

Organisational transformation and organisational discourse - Nijs / De Vries
A new ensemble of organisation development (OD) practices have emerged like Appreciative Inquiry, large group interventions, changing mindsets and consciousness, addressing diversity and multicultural realities, transformational leadership and servant leadership facilitating organisational transformation in different ways. We present these techiques and evaluate them in the context of Imagineering.

Imagineering for destinations - Nijs et al
In this article we compare the concepts of citymarketing and Imagineering a destination in order to advise DMO's on how to work under which circumstances.

Transformational leadership and servant leadership - De Vries
This article focuses on the concepts and methodologies of transformational leadership and servant leadership and on their relevance in the context of Imagineering.

Business models in the creative economy
This article tries to answer questions like: How do the components of a viable business model differ in the internet economy from the traditional industrial economy? What are the consequences of imagineering for the business model? What are the new economies of scale and scope?
